Nutrition & Lifestyle coaching
The practice of Ayurveda is designed to promote human happiness, health and creative growth. Practically, Ayurveda offers a framework on how to life a long and healthy life, taking your physical, mental and emotional wellbeing into account.
One of the core concepts of Ayurveda is the acknowledgements of the 5 elements in all beings. The 5 elements are Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether. The amounts of those elements however differ in everyone. This makes every human being unique, and it is for this reason that Ayurveda offers a personal approach for each and every individual. Your unique blueprint is known as your Prakriti. When the elements are functioning exactly as is stated in your blueprint, you are in optimal health. This is what we aim to achieve in Ayurveda.
An Ayurvedic Nutrition & Lifestyle coach helps you to get the elements in your body back in balance, and gives you tools how to maintain that balance.
In an initial intake session, we will dive into your current state of health through an Ayurvedic lens. We will ask questions about your wellbeing, your diet, lifestyle, your family situation and health history. Your unique blueprint and your current imbalances are the first thing we look at when we start treatment. Together we develop a personal plan taking diet, lifestyle, exercise and herbal supplements into account. We will start with making small adjustments in your routines that can have a tremendous effect on your health.
What to Expect from an Intake consultation?
In an intake consultation we will try to find out all we need to make a diagnosis and develop your treatment plan. There will be questions on your current state of health, your food and lifestyle habits and your history. There will be a tongue diagnosis, a pulse diagnosis and abdominal palpation (only with your consent). Your current imbalance is the first thing we will look at when we start treatment. After your current imbalance is resolved, we can support your unique constitution with diet and lifestyle to prevent future imbalances from manifesting. During the session we will discuss to what would serve you in terms of change in diet, lifestyle and herbal supplements. After the consultation you receive the full advice through email as well. An intake consultation takes 60-90 minutes.
Follow up consultations
A follow up session is completely optional but recommended if you want to evaluate your progress and work further from there. Having one or more follow ups proves to support you in fully integrating ayurveda into your life. As your body will become more balanced, you will naturally strive for balance and know what to do to maintain that equilibrium. A follow up consultation takes 30-45 minutes.
